FASTPITCH CLINIC

Coach: Emily & Tom Hurshman

PROGRAM OUTLINE: 

The goal of this 6 week program is to help players with fast pitch fielding and batting techniques. Helping with foundation training such as; proper footwork and throwing, proper batting stances and swinging techniques. This program will also be used to learn new skills such as different throws and new batting techniques along with basic mental prep to increase their confidence and knowledge of the sport at the plate and on the field. 

 

6 Week Program, max 8 participants per group 

Mondays, Starting April 22nd. 

U11 Group - 6pm to 7pm

U13 Group - 7pm to 8pm

 

Location: The Warehouse Training Centre - 78 First Lake Drive.

 

COACH BIO / Emily Hurshman: 

Emily began her baseball journey at the age of 5, transitioning to fastpitch by the age of 8 with Sackville Surge. She has been immersed in competitive fastball since the age of 10. Throughout many years of dedication to the sport, she has participated in provincial, Eastern Canadian, and National Championships. Emily has also played for the 2021/2022 Canada Games Team Nova Scotia Women’s fastpitch program. Now, her focus has shifted towards nurturing others' passion for the game and fostering their skill development. Empowering young athletes to excel in the game they cherish.

COACH BIO / Tom Hurshman:
Tom Hurshman has been involved in fastpitch for over 30 years. He has played fastpitch along with becoming the head coach of several competitive teams, the latest being the 2023 U17 women’s Team Nova Scotia High Performance Program and been to Nationals 3 times with his teams. He loves the sport and has been giving back to the community since 2012 and wishes to help athletes in their development and love for the game. 


Required Equipment Needed: Indoor Footwear, fastpitch gear such as ball glove, batting helmet. Recommended Equipment: FastPitch Bat, fielders mask, water bottle.

REGISTRATION: $191.30 +hst for 6 sessions. (total $220.00 after tax). Only 8 spots available per age group.

SANDLOT BASEBALL PROGRAM

Learn the experiences of the game of baseball through drills and interactive games. 

The curriculum will focus on improving the fundamentals of the game and teaching players new skills, with plenty of time to go off book and examine any part of the game which participants may want to explore. Tailored for children ages 8-12 years old, who are relatively new to the game.

SEMI-PRIVATE TRAINING

Small Group Sessions focused on Hitting, Pitching & Catching Programs. For ages 9 & Up.

This 6 week Semi-Private Baseball Program is designed to help young aspiring athletes improve their mechanics, fundamentals and mental game. The group size is limited to maximize the experience.
